Stronghold 3 released
Castle building series makes its return
7sixty and Firefly Studios have announced that Stronghold 3, the latest installment in the castle-building series, is available across the globe today in stores and from digital retailers.
Stronghold 3 is the sequel to the original, which sees the return of the franchise’s enemy: The Wolf. After seemingly falling to his demise following defeat by The Boy, he has cheated death and is back for revenge, along with some of his old supporters and new, more dangerous, allies. The game also includes refined graphics, night time sieges and a new physics engine.
“We’re pleased fans can finally take to the battlefield to try and stop The Wolf from dominating the kingdom,” said Simon Bradbury, lead designer, Firefly Studios. “Stronghold 3 is a leap forward for the series and we’ve worked very hard to refine the core Stronghold mechanics as well as adding lots of exciting new features.”
“Stronghold 3 is a huge milestone for 7sixty because it’s our first release and we’re confident it will go on to great success,” said Jeff Hutchinson, VP interactive entertainment, 7sixty. “Firefly Studios has done an amazing job in bringing the medieval period to life.”
