Valve skipping E3 2011
Publisher confirms it has no plans for game showcase
In a quick note this afternoon, Valve has confirmed that they will not be making an appearance at this year's E3 2011.
As a response to multiple E3 scheduling requests from other media, Valve has decided to send out a note to everyone. "Well, we are not showing any titles at this year's show. So no appointment is needed," said the note from Doug Lombardi, VP of Marketing at Valve.
This means that, unless there is a surprise reveal, we won't hear any news on the next Half Life, Counter Strike, or even DOTA franchises. The company joins other notable publishers who won't be at the show, such as Rockstar Games and NCSoft.
Valve was present at last year's event, showing off Portal 2. E3 2011 takes place June 7th - 9th in Los Angeles.
