GTA 6 Developers Harassed by YouTuber Demanding Delay Answers
YouTuber backonboulevard flew to Edinburgh to confront GTA 6 developers about delays, sparking backlash as fans denounce harassment outside Rockstar North.
On September 29, 2025, YouTube and TikTok content creator backonboulevard flew from abroad to Edinburgh, Scotland, home of Rockstar North, in a bid to confront developers about Grand Theft Auto 6. The move, which he described as being “sick and tired of waiting for answers,” has since drawn heavy criticism across social media and within the GTA community, as clips showed him harassing developers outside the studio and demanding information about delays and upcoming trailers.
Fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been waiting over twelve years since the release of GTA 5, and anticipation for GTA 6 has reached extraordinary levels. Rockstar has already confirmed a release date of May 26, 2026, and has released two trailers, some character bios, and screenshots. However, with only limited official information, speculation and leaks have been driving much of the discussion. Rumors of a possible delay beyond 2026 have further fueled impatience, leaving some fans frustrated with the lack of updates. Still, many within the community quickly condemned backonboulevard’s decision to take matters into his own hands.
In the video shared online, the content creator is first seen recording outside Rockstar North’s headquarters in Edinburgh from a distance. But the clips soon show more direct encounters. In one instance, a developer can be seen crossing the street, saying he doesn’t know anything, as the creator presses him with questions about a third GTA 6 trailer and whether a delay is happening. Another moment shows backonboulevard sprinting up to a second developer and demanding, “Where’s the delay happening?” The startled employee appears visibly shocked, stares for a moment, and then quickly walks away without giving a response.
The footage quickly spread online, including on TikTok and Twitter. One widely shared post by fellow content creator GameRoll described the behavior as “disgusting,” criticizing those who would camp outside a workplace to pressure employees over a video game. Many commenters called it harassment, with people even suggesting it should lead to legal action. Phrases such as “give your head a wobble” and “just let them do their jobs” summed up the reaction, with most agreeing the stunt was unnecessary and intrusive.

Despite the backlash, backonboulevard insisted that his trip to Scotland was worth it. He claimed, though without confirmation, that he received answers from the developers suggesting a third trailer and a delay announcement will be made on October 28, 2025. However, no official word from Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has supported those claims. The company has historically kept a tight lid on development details, with employees bound by non-disclosure agreements that prevent them from discussing projects outside official channels.
