Call of Duty: Warzone May 13 Update Extends High Art Event and Fixes ADS Speed
May 13 Call of Duty: Warzone update extends High Art event to May 22, fixes ADS speed bugs and Ranked Play, and resolves revive and voice line issues.
On May 13, 2025, Raven Software released a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone. The patch extends the High Art event, fixes multiple gameplay bugs, rebalances Ranked Play, and improves core mechanics. The update follows the Season 3 Reloaded content drop from May 1 and applies to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The High Art event, originally scheduled to end on May 15, will now conclude on May 22 at 10:00 a.m. PT / 1:00 p.m. ET, giving players seven additional days to earn rewards through the High Art Event Pass, and that includes both Free and Premium tracks. Rewards include Double XP Tokens, weapon blueprints, and cosmetics such as the “Fired Up” operator skin, which features actor Seth Rogen. Players can also earn the Ladra Submachine Gun and the Goblin Mk2 7.62 Mini-Rocket Conversion. If these items are not unlocked before May 22, they will move to the Armory and remain usable in both Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The update resolves an issue with aim down sight (ADS) speeds. While prone or crouching, ADS speeds were slower than intended, which reduced mobility during engagements. But thankfully, the fix restores the correct ADS speed in these stances.
Ranked Play changes include the replacement of the Fire Sale event with Restock in the third circle. Restock refreshes loot caches with weapons, cash, and armor plates. Emotes have also been restricted again in Ranked Play to eliminate potential exploits.
Multiple bugs have been addressed:
- Revive times for downed teammates were sometimes longer than normal. This has been fixed.
- The “How Prestige Works” button in the Prestige menu was not selectable during matchmaking. This is now resolved.
- Operator voice lines were playing repeatedly due to a missing cooldown. The cooldown has been restored.
This update builds on changes introduced in the May 1 Season 3 Reloaded patch. That patch reintroduced Verdansk and added access to the Verdansk Train Station, which now has multiple entry points. The Triumph TF 250-X motorbike from Rebirth Island was added to Verdansk. New features included High Value Loot Zones, the Big Game Bounty Contract, and the Train Recon Contract.
An earlier patch on May 7 rebalanced several weapons and fixed more issues. The CR-56 AMAX, AK-74, and HDR sniper rifle were nerfed to reduce their dominance in the meta. Their damage multipliers and flinch resistance were lowered. The Krig C assault rifle and C9 SMG received buffs. These changes have shifted the competitive weapon meta.
The May 7 update also temporarily disabled Ranked Play. Players were experiencing server disconnects and were not receiving Skill Rating (SR) after matches. Raven Software fixed the issue and re-enabled Ranked Play. Affected players were awarded estimated SR values and refunded deployment fees.
Other fixes in that update include:
- The armor plate animation playing without applying a plate has been fixed.
- Players using vehicles to hoard loot were bypassing inventory limitations. Items now fall through vehicles instead of staying inside them, preventing stockpiling, which had replaced the previously removed backpack system.
The next major Warzone esports event is scheduled for August 6–9 at the Esports World Cup. It will feature 21 teams competing in Resurgence mode for a $1 million (approximately £752,980) prize pool. No additional details have been released for the World Series of Warzone or other upcoming competitions.
