Embracer Group shuts down another subsidiary developer

Embracer Group has confirmed the closure of developer Pieces Interactive.

The developer was formed in 2007 in Sweden, and has released numerous games over its lifetime, including Magicka 2. Their most recent title was the reboot of Alone in the Dark, launching just earlier this year.

In 2017, Pieces Interactive were acquired by Embracer Group after working with the expansion for Titan Quest, Titan Quest: Ragnarok, and third expansion for Titan Quest, Titan Quest: Atlantis.

No specific details were provided regarding the reasons for the studio closure.
