Marvel's Spider-Man 2 offers new gameplay details

Insomniac Games have announced new details about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

The sequel will feature an expanded Marvel’s New York, including new locations, Queens and Brooklyn – complete with story missions, side quests, and city activities. Players will also be able to switch between Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the open world, near-instantly. Both Spider Heroes are important characters to the story and each will have their own separate side stories to uncover.

Featuring 65 suits, which include new original designs and fan favorites from films and comics, players will have an expansive wardrobe of costumes to equip in the game. There will also be Suit Styles, an all-new feature that unlocks alternate color shaders for some suits.

In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players will get to experience Marvel’s New York as both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The main storyline of the game will have you take control of both Spider-Men at different points of the campaign. In the open world, you will be able to switch nearly instantly between them as you explore Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Both Spider-Men have stories and missions in the world exclusive to each of them.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches October 20, 2023, exclusively on PlayStation 5.
