Dead Island 2 delayed
The recently revived game needs additional time
Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios have announced that Dead Island 2 has been delayed.
After many years in development, the game was recently re-revealed and given a February 2023 launch date. However, this has now been pushed back to April 28, 2023.
"The irony of delaying Dead Island 2 is not lost on us, and we are as disappointed as you undoubtedly are. The delay is just 12 short weeks and development is on the final straight now; we’re going to take the time we need to make sure we can launch a game we’re proud to launch," said the developers.
Dead Island 2 is a first-person action-RPG set in LA. A deadly virus is spreading across Los Angeles, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. The city is under quarantine and the military have retreated. Bitten, infected, but more than just immune, you learn to harness the tainted zombie powers running through your veins.
The game is planned for launch on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
