Free PlayStation Plus games for July 2022
Platforming and horror games free next month
Sony has announced the lineup of free PS Plus games for July 2022.
Subscribers to the recently renovated PlayStation Plus service got their next batch of games shortly. First up, members on PS4 and PS5 get a free copy of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. The game picks up after Neo Cortex, Dr. N. Tropy and Uka Uka were last stranded on a distant planet. After decades of fruitless attempts, the trio finally make their escape, ripping an Evil-Scientist-sized hole in the fabric of space-time in the process. Now all that stands between them and total dominion over the multiverse are two fuzzy marsupials from N. Sanity Island.
Next, members on PS4 also get a free download of Man of Medan, the first game in The Dark Pictures Anthology, bringing supernatural horror on board a ghost-ship adrift in the South Pacific. In Man of Medan, four young Americans set sail on a diving trip, to find the rumoured location of a WWII wreckage. As the day unfolds, and a storm rolls in, their trip soon becomes something much more sinister.
Lastly, PS4 and PS5 members can also get their free copy of Arcadegeddon. Gilly, the owner of a local arcade, is trying to save his business from a faceless mega-corporation, Fun Fun Co. and what better way to stick it to the man than with a brand-spanking-new super game. Unfortunately, the corp gets wind of Gilly’s plan and launches a cyberattack, injecting a virus into the game. Now it’s up to you to rise up and save both the game and the last remaining local arcade in this ever-evolving co-op multiplayer shooter.
These free games will be available to PlayStation Plus members from July 5 to August 1.
