Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown delayed
Additional time needed as racing game pushed to next year, last-gen versions dropped
Publisher NACON have announced that Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has been delayed into 2023.
In the summer of 2021, the company first announced an ambitiously distant release date of September 2022. However that launch window is no longer possible, and the racing game will be delayed into next year.
In a blog post, the developers stated: "Our goal with Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is to make it the most polished gaming experience in the franchise by spending more time on its development. We also want to take advantage of the extra development time to optimize the game and get you more involved. We are currently working on a schedule for closed betas."
Further, NACON has decided to no longer develop Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
As such, the game is now planned for a 2023 release on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
