The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel planned for 2023
The open world RPG sequel launch window pushed to next year
Nintendo has announced that yet-to-be officially named sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will not release this year.
The game was originally planned for 2022 launch, but in a brief video update today, Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma has said that launch is now planned for 2023.
The clip included a few previously seen shots from the game, and few details were provided beyond simply stating that additional time is needed for the developers.
The sequel was first teased at E3 2019, with few updates since then. The game is planned for release on Nintendo Switch.
