E3 2021 to return as a digital show
ESA plans to host a variety of announcements online this year
The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has announced plans to host an all-virtual E3 2021.
E3 2021 will take place June 12 through June 15, and there are confirmations from publishers such as Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media to make an appearance. More are promised as the show draws closer.
The organizers say that the digital format for E3 2021 means more people than ever can participate. It will be free to users to attend. More details are expected later.
E3 is owned and operated by the ESA, the US trade association dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of the companies developing and publishing interactive games. The show was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
