Gears Tactics in development
PC only turn-based game is a prequel to the original
Developers, The Coalition and Splash Damage, are working on a PC only Gears of War game. Revealed during the Xbox Conference at E3, Gears Tactics is a turn-based strategy game where you create a new squad of soldiers and take them into battle against the Locust army.
The game is a prequel to the original Gears of War, set 12 years before the events in that game. Players will be looking to track down the Locust monster-maker responsible for destroying whole cities.
The gameplay is said to be fast and aggressive. You will be able to customize loadouts and upgrade weapons. Soldiers will be one of several classes, including Scout, Sniper, and Heavy. Boss battles will also feature.
