Take-Two Interactive Software reports FY18 financial results
Net revenue at $1.793 billion as DLC purchases grew 42% year-over-year
Take-Two Interactive Software has reported results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2018, ended March 31, 2018.
For the year, net revenue grew to $1.793 billion, as compared to $1.780 billion in fiscal year 2017. Recurrent consumer spending (DLC and other digital purchases) grew 63% and accounted for 42% of total net revenue. Net income increased 158% to $173.5 million. NBA 2K18 became our highest-selling sports title ever, with sell-in to date of over 9 million units.
Looking into the future, for fiscal year ending March 31, 2019, the publisher expects net revenue to range from $2.50 to $2.60 billion; net income is expected to range from $180 to $211 million. The boost is expected to come from Red Dead Redemption 2, set to launch this OCtober. The comopany also confirms that NBA 2K19 and WWE 2K19 will be released this Fall.
