Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have a battle royale mode
New mode titled Blackout combines classic gameplay with survival elements
Activision has announced that the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will feature a brand new mode for the franchise called Blackout.
Blackout is the new battle royale-style experience that looks to combine Black Ops’ classic gunplay with new levels of survival competition across iconic Black Ops settings re-imagined at a grand scale. Players will have to scavenge, strategize, compete and survive to win.
Featuring the largest map ever built in Call of Duty – said to be 1,500 times bigger than Nuketown – Blackout lets you play as classic characters spanning the history of the Black Ops series including the original Call of Duty Zombies Origins cast. Battling solo or in teams, players will engage in diverse combat complete with ground, air and sea vehicles.
Blackout will be included when Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches this October on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
