Age of Empires: Definitive Edition releases next month
Remake of the classic RTS game will be launched in February
Microsoft has announced that Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is launching on February 20 worldwide for Windows 10 PCs at $19.99 USD.
The Definitive Edition features rebuilt assets for a modern 4K presentation, online play with Xbox LIVE (in addition to LAN play), re-recorded original soundtrack with a new orchestral score, added campaign narration for every mission, enhanced the campaign and scenario editor, and more.
Leading up to launch, the multiplayer beta will be open to more players worldwide starting January 29.
The original Age of Empires launched over 20 years ago. Since then, the franchise saw a few sequels, an online free to play release, and recently the announcement of Age of Empires 4.
