Battlefield 1 beta statistics revealed
The largest beta in EA's history
The Battlefield 1 beta concluded on the 8th of September and EA have provided a few statistics via an infographic they released today. It is the most popular beta for EA to date, with 13.2 million players joining the fight during the week it was active. Here is how it compares to some other betas:
- Battlefield 1 - 13.2m
- Overwatch - 9.7m
- Star Wars: Battlefront - 9.5m
- Battlefield 3 - 8.1m
- The Division - 7.2m
- Battlefield: Hardline - 7m
- Destiny - 4.6m
The graphic also shows an uneven split of classes. Just 10% of players deployed as a Medic, compared to 28% as a Scout. DICE have mentioned that the revive icon will be shown at all times for Medics in the final release; this may entice more players to use the life-saving class. Only 11% of the players deployed in a tank, airplane, or on a horse.
Calvary units provided over 62 million kills. On average, that means each player was killed about 5 times by an enemy on a horse.

Battlefield 1 will release on the 21st of October 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
