Quantum Break coming to Steam this September
New release will work on Windows 7
Microsoft has announced that Quantum Break is coming to Steam in just four weeks. The Steam version will support DirectX 11, which means it will run on Windows 7, 8 and 10 computers. Currently it only supports Windows 10 and DirectX 12 on the Microsoft Store. The Steam version will launch at $39.99 and the Microsoft Store version will also drop to that price.
Nordic Games are working with Microsoft to create a retail edition that will activate on Steam. Called the Quantum Break: Timeless Collector’s Edition, it will cost $39.99 USD / EUR. This special edition will contain:
- Premium packaging
- 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
- Making of Blu-Ray
- Making of Book
- 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
- 2 Posters
- Quickstart Guide
Quantum Break were originally released on April 5 this year for both PC and Xbox One. At the time of release, the PC version was poorly received due to problems with the MS Store version. The Steam and retail versions will both release on September 14, 2016 and will require 68GB of hard drive space.
