New 3.0 Firmware causing game issues

Firmware version 3.0 went live recently and brought with it dynamic themes, a redesigned friends list and new avatars. Unfortunately, the firmware update hasn’t been all fun and games.
According to a fair number of users on the PlayStation.com boards, the update has caused the original Uncharted to crash or freeze almost every time the game is played. Whether this is a problem with a select group of gamers or it’s nearly universal is hard to tell, but we can only hope that a fix is in the works for those affected.
We attempted to contact Sony for a comment, but a representative could not be reached. To further confirm the report though, I can say that I Myself had the game freeze twice during a few hours of gameplay over the weekend. It’s the first time I had any techincal issues with the title.
