Codemasters recruits ex-Evolution Studios staff
Experienced racing game developers to form a new studio
Codemasters have announced it will be expanding its portfolio of studios to include the staff from Evolution Studios starting April 25th 2016.
Frank Sagnier, CEO of Codemasters, commented: “The success of F1 2015 and DiRT Rally over the last 12 months has re-positioned the company for growth. The addition of the Evolution team to our studio group will allow us to scale our business and strengthen our leadership as the world’s premier racing game developer."
Codemasters is a leading developer and publisher of driving and racing entertainment games including DiRT, GRID and the official BAFTA award-winning FORMULA 1 series of videogames.
Evolution Studio's latest project was Driveclub for PS4. However, development issues with the game caused many delays and eventual shutdown of the studio by parent company Sony.
