Song of the Deep announced
New Metroidvania adventure coming this summer from Insomniac Games
Developers Insomniac Games have announced Song of the Deep – a new Metroidvania-style underwater adventure, coming this summer.
The game follows Merryn, a young girl who is trying to find her father – a fisherman lost to the depths. She builds a rickety submarine to search for him beneath the waves. Players will follow Merryn’s submarine on a journey under the sea, exploring an expansive and mysterious world.
There will be sunken cities to discover and puzzles to solve; upgrades for the ship and new abilities powered by a mysterious substance called Tyne; and combat against various sea creatures.
Song of the Deep will be available in Summer 2016 for $14.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC physically at GameStop stores or as digital download.
