Origin Access comes to PC

Monthly subscription to play EA games earlier and cheaper

Posted on

EA today have announced Origin Access for PC. With Origin Access, gamers pay a monthly fee and can play any game from the vault for with no limits. Subscribers will also get access to games earlier, and all games will have a 10% discount.

The service is currently only available in U.S., Canada, UK and Germany with more regions to follow. Initially the vault contains 15 games, including Battlefield 4, The Sims 3 and the Dead Space series. Also, independent games will be added to the vault, not just those from EA. The first independent game added to the vault is This War of Mine.

Origin Access is essentially the same as EA Access, which was launched on the Xbox One in August of 2014. EA also approached Sony with a similar system on the PlayStation 4, but Sony declined the offer. The monthly price for Origin Access on PC is $4.99 or £3.99 a month.
