Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China releasing this week
First installment of the Chronicles trilogy available soon
Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China will be available in North and South America on April 21 and April 22 in EMEA territories for digital download on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
In 16th-century China, the recently appointed Jiajing Emperor instigated a sudden purge of all he felt were a danger to his newly acquired throne, including the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins. A young Assassin, Shao Jun, fled to the West to complete her training under the legendary Assassin Ezio Auditore in the animated short Assassin’s Creed Embers and has returned, determined to restore the Chinese Brotherhood of Assassins. Players pick up Shao Jun’s story as she returns to China for revenge. Her story will take players to famous locales including the Maijishan Grottoes, Port of Macau, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall of China.
Developed by Climax Studios, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China will be followed by Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia, which will release separately and take players through India in the 19th-century Sikh Empire and then through Russia after the Red October revolution.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China will be available for $9.99 and will be available for download tomorrow for Assassin’s Creed Unity Season Pass holders. Subsequent chronicles will be available for purchase separately.
