Metro Redux sells over 1.5 million copies

Deep Silver has announced that more than 1.5 million Metro Redux games have been sold worldwide, and that the compilation ‘Metro Redux’ for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has now outsold Metro: Last Light for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in multiple territories.

When measured against sales of the previous generation release, Metro Redux is the best performing remaster of this generation according to the publisher.

"4A Games have created one of the benchmarks by which other re-masters will be judged, and we have seen their efforts rewarded with fantastic critical and commercial success," said Menno Van der Bil, international commercial director at Deep Silver.

Both Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux will be available via the Mac App Store on April 16th. Existing owners of any Steam version of Metro Redux will automatically find the respective game available through their Windows PC, Linux and now Mac Steam libraries.

Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux were released last summer.
