Mortal Kombat X special editions unveiled

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed details of the special edition lineup for Mortal Kombat X.

First up, the Mortal Kombat X: Kollector’s Edition will include an exclusive Scorpion figurine and Certificate of Authenticity, designed by Coarse; an in-game Gold Scorpion Skin, inspired by the Coarse figurine; and The Kombat Pack, which includes access to four add-on playable characters from Klassic Kombatants to Iconic guest characters. The Kollector’s Edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One only, for $149.99.

Next, the Mortal Kombat X Limited Edition, available exclusively at GameStop, will feature the exclusive Scorpion Skin. Inspired by the Cold War, the skin is a collaboration between NetherRealm Studios and a fan artist from the MKKollective, a crowd-sourced MK-related art site. It also includes The Kombat Pack, and will be available only for PS4 and Xbox One at $94.99.

Finally, the Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition will be available via download only and includes the The Kombat Pack alongside the game. This edition can be purchased digitally on any platform for $89.99.

In addition, all who pre-order any version of the game will receive legendary fighter, Goro as a playable character.

Mortal Kombat X is scheduled to release April 14, 2015 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4.
