First expansion for Tropico 5 out next week
Waterborne adds new campaign, coastal structures
Kalypso Media has announced the upcoming release of Waterborne, the first major expansion for Tropico 5.
The expansion features water based game mechanics for the first time in the history of the series and comes with a slew of new features and enhancements: such as water traffic, larger coastal areas and new events.
Build brand new off-shore alternatives for defence, food, energy, entertainment and even housing. Organise and co-ordinate transport to production buildings like the Oyster and Kelp farms, construct tidal power plants as an eco-friendly alternative to nuclear power and build luxurious floating apartments. Launch military submarines to bolster your naval forces - or create an exotic bathysphere attraction to compliment your bustling tourist paradise.
The expansion also includes an all-new campaign spanning 6 scenarios, new dialogue and story. Plus, all new content and off-shore gameplay works with existing sandbox maps and multiplayer modes.
Waterborne will be ready to download for PC via Steam and the Kalypso Launcher on the 17th of December for £14.99/€19.99/$19.99.
Tropico 5 is out now on PC, Xbox 360, Mac & SteamOS – with a PlayStation 4 version coming in early 2015.
