Need for Speed World enters Beta
The signups for English beta version for EA's online-only racer are now open
In a Welcome Note from Need for Speed World Senior Producer John Doyle, the announcement has arrived that the game is now entering Beta for English territories. Users can sign up by visiting the link above and entering their EA account information.
This beta program is more than one weekend of play. EA will be running a number of beta events over the next several months, all aimed at testing one or more aspects of the experience. If you didn’t get into this round, don’t worry, there will be more stages and many, many more invites in the weeks and months ahead. Some expectation setting: these initial rounds are intentionally constrained in terms of features, level progression and content. EA are testing and so we need to keep the variables under control to ensure quality data. As the beta program progresses you’ll see more content, ways to play and places to see.
Need for Speed: World is an upcoming installment in Need for Speed franchise published by Electronic Arts. This iteration is being co-developed by EA Black Box and EA Singapore as a free-to-play massively multiplayer online racing game, the first MMORG in the Need for Speed series since Motor City Online, exclusively for Windows-based PCs. World is scheduled for release worldwide in 2010.
