Assassin's Creed: Unity DLC will now be free
Ubisoft offers free DLC to all players, ends sales of Season Pass
Ubisoft has announced that it will make the upcoming Dead Kings DLC for Assassin’s Creed Unity a free download for players.
"I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin's Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential," said Yannis Mallat, CEO of Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto.
To show appreciation for fans' continued support, Ubisoft is making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone. Those who already purchased the Season Pass to play this DLC, can instead choose a free Ubisoft game: The Crew, Far Cry 4, Watch Dogs, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, Rayman Legends, or Just Dance 2015.
The publisher is also discontinuing sales of the Season Pass altogether. Read the FAQ for complete details.
Ubisoft continues working hard to fix the problems players are reporting, and the patches we have released so far have resolved many of them. The third patch, which fixes a variety of specific issues related to the game’s stability and performance, matchmaking and connectivity, gameplay and menus, will be released today.
Assassin's Creed: Unity was released last month on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
