Dreamfall Chapters debuts next month
First part of the episodic adventure game will be released in October
Red Thread Games have announced that Dreamfall Chapters has its first release date.
Book One of the Kickstarter-funded game will be distributed to project backers, and will be available to download on Steam for PC and Mac, and on Linux on Tuesday, October 21.
Dreamfall Chapters is an episodic story-driven adventure and follow-up to The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. Chapters follows three characters on their journeys across two worlds - one a cyberpunk vision of the future, the other a magical fantasy world - as their stories and destinies intertwine. The game's social system gives players the option to see what decisions their friends made, before they make and share their own.
Dreamfall Chapters – Book One encompasses the prologue and first two chapters of the game, with Books Two through Five scheduled for release in the future. The game is also scheduled for release on PlayStation 4 in early 2015.
