D4 releases for Xbox One tomorrow
Japanese mystery game will be available sooner than expected
Microsoft has revealed that the Japanese mystery game D4 will be released tomorrow, exclusively for Xbox One.
The work of Hidetaka Suehiro – also known as Swery65 – D4 stars David Young, whose wife was killed two years prior, and whose killer hasn't yet been brought to justice. David, for his part, possesses the special ability to re-experience moments from the past, simply by touching mementos.
D4 can be played using either a controller or Kinect. With Kinect, looking around the room is handled with wide swipe gestures; if you want to examine an object, you perform a grabbing gesture with your hand. During action, you use quick hand movements to dodge and deflect various objects and interact with characters or environment via gestures.
D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die launches on September 19 as a $14.99 digital download for Xbox One. The game will be released with the prologue, episode one, and episode two, with more episodes to follow.
