Mario Kart 8 DLC packs coming soon
New courses and vehicles for the racing title
Nintendo has announced plans to release new downloadable content packs for Mario Kart 8.
The packs, which launch this fall and in spring of 2015, and are available for $7.99 each. The Legend of Zelda DLC (November 2014) includes Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, and Link characters, 4 Vehicles, and 8 Courses. Animal Crossing DLC (May 2015) offers Villager, Isabelle and Dry Bowser characters, as well as 4 Vehicles and 8 Courses.
Players can also get both DLCs as a bundle for $11.99. As a bonus for purchasing both packs bundled or individually, buyers receive eight new colors for Yoshi and Shy Guy. Those who preorder both packs can begin using the Yoshi and Shy Guy characters immediately.
The DLC packs include classic courses like Wario’s Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. New vehicles will include the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first DLC pack.
Mario Kart 8 was released earlier this year for Wii U.
