New NVidia cards coming to PAX
New PC graphics gaming technology will be unveiled at PAX 2010
The 'major' announcement prepared by Nvidia today is unfortunately pretty anti-climactic although it does give a date for the company's first DirectX 11 graphics cards - March 26. According to Nvidia's Twitter post - " The world's fastest PC graphics gaming technology will be unveiled at PAX 2010." so we've still got 31 more days to wait for the GF100 cards to make their official debut.
The GeForce GTX 480 and GTX 470 are set to be launched on March 26, the first day of PAX East (going down in Boston) through a 'Must See' presentation. For more info about the event see this page.
Don't expect much more official info about the GF100 cards until PAX but we're sure the interweb will provide some leaks so we can find out what Nvidia's new babies can do.
Until then the best choice for the top cards on the market is held by ATI and their HD 58xx and 59xx series.
