Koch Media acquires Homefront IP from Crytek
Development of current game to be moved to another studio
Koch Media together with Deep Silver has announced that it has acquired the Homefront brand and all coherent assets from Crytek.
This includes Homefront: The Revolution which has been announced earlier this year. The development of the game will now be continued in newly founded, Nottingham-based Dambuster Studios.
Crytek was in the process of developing the sequel for THQ when that publisher went bankrupt. Crytek then purchased IP for itself during the auction of THQ assets.
Dambuster Studios is the third development studio within the Koch Media Group, joining Volition and Fishlabs.
Homefront: The Revolution is slated for release on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
