Xbox One monthly sales double after price drop

Microsoft says console bundle without Kinect doing well

Posted on

Microsoft has announced that since the new Xbox One bundle without Kinect launched on June 9th, the company saw sales of the console more than double in the US, compared to sales in May.

The sales estimate is based on internal data from retailers and sold through numbers. Microsoft attributes the increase to the new price point ($399) as well as general hype surrounding the E3 that took place in June.

Previously, the Xbox One included Kinect and was priced for $499.
