Canadian Videogame Awards moved to November

The show continues to change, now with a new schedule

Posted on

Reboot Communications and EP Media have announced that the 5th Annual Canadian Videogame Awards will move to November 21, 2014 from its original Spring date.

This date change will facilitate the proper amount of production and promotional attention for the CVAs and provide the game-making community an annual end of the year celebration. This will also be the first show since moving from Vancouver.

An end of year show date will provide additional support for sponsors, finalists and nominees of the Canadian Videogame Awards as they promote their games for the holiday market, said the company. The 2014 show will include 2013 and 2014 made games to be awarded separately, based on the nomination year, in one ceremony.

Award nominations for 2013 have already closed and the adjudication process will continue as planned. Nomination details for 2014 will be announced in June.
