Call of Duty: Ghosts claims top spot on next gen consoles
Publisher says the shooter is dominating the charts
Activision has said that its shooter Call of Duty: Ghosts is dominating sales on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Ghosts is the #1 most played Xbox One multiplayer game worldwide, according to Microsoft, and the top selling Xbox One title in retail sales in North America at retailers Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart. It is also the top multiplayer game on Xbox 360.
In standalone Xbox One software retail sales, the game also is first in the United Kingdom, according to GfK Charttrack.
Ghosts is also the most played PlayStation 4 game, according to Sony Computer Entertainment America, and continues to be the number one top selling PS4 title in retail sales in North America at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart.
Ghosts' players have Prestiged more than 2.2 million times, earning over 3.3 trillion Experience Points (XP), according to internal gameplay statistics.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launched for both current gen systems and PS4 on November 5, and on November 22 on Xbox One.
