PlayStation 4 launch day update detailed
Firmware will enable tons of system features on debut
Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that it will release a system software update for PlayStation 4 system simultaneously with the official North American launch of the system on November 15, 2013.
Only by updating to the version 1.50 Firmware (300mb in size) will users be able to enable many of the key features of the new system. The update will enable functionality of Remote Play / Second Screen with PS Vita, gameplay and screenshot capture, broadcast and spectate gameplay, play as you download, play DVD/Bluray movies, and many more.
It is basically essential to update your PS4 to 1.50 if you want to enjoy most of the prominent system features.
Some features will not be available at launch even with Firmware 1.50, such as “suspend/resume mode” which is a feature that keeps the PS4 system in a low power state and promptly takes users back to their game.
The PlayStation 4 will be available in North America on November 15, 2013; in Europe on November 29, 2013; and in Latin America on November 29, 2013.
