Watch Dogs delayed to 2014
Open world action title needs more development time
Ubisoft has announced that Watch Dogs, the upcoming open world action title, has been delayed.
Originally slated to arrive on PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Wii U next month, it will now ship in Spring 2014. The developers explain more time needed for polish as one of the reasons for the delay.
"We struggled with whether we would delay the game. But from the beginning, we have adopted the attitude that we will not compromise on quality. As we got closer to release, as all the pieces of the puzzle were falling into place in our last push before completion, it became clear to us that we needed to take the extra time to polish and fine tune every detail so we can deliver a truly memorable and exceptional experience," reads the statement.
Ubisoft still plans to release Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and South Park: The Stick of Truth during this Holiday season.
