Heavy Rain will not be censored in North America
ESRB rating reveals that the game's content will not be altered
Details surrounding the 'M' rating it received from the ESRB and other details about the full release of the game have been released. Scheduled to release on February 23rd in North America, Heavy Rain is the spiritual successor to Indigo Prophecy in many ways, but Heavy Rain looks to expand on the gameplay and story aspects of this unique take on the action genre.
The reasoning behind the ESRB 'Mature' rating is simple the game contains: Blood, Intense Violence, Nudity, Sexual Content, Strong Language and Use of Drugs. What all that means is that the game will be uncensored in North America and the content will be identical in all regions of the world. Unlike Indigo Prophecy, which had a sex scene removed in the American version, Sony is allowing the game to stay fully intact.
