Xbox One launch delayed in some markets
Now only 13 countries will recieve the new console this November
Following an E3 announcement that Xbox One would be available in 21 markets around the world at launch, Microsoft has announced that number is no longer true.
In order to meet demand, and provide the best launch experience, the company has adjusted the number of markets that will receive Xbox One in November to 13 countries. They include Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand.
That means Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland will only see the new consoles arrive in early 2014.
"While we wish we could launch Xbox One simultaneously in these markets, there are many factors that determine the timing of specific market launches. This includes work to localize the Xbox One dash, incorporate additional voice and languages, and build partnerships to bring apps and meaningful local content to each country," the company said in a statement.
If you are in one of the countries facing the delay, and if you have already preordered an Xbox One Day One system, you will receive a pack-in game with your console when it launches. Further details will be announced later.
Xbox One is expected to launch in November 2013.
