Fantasia: Music Evolved coming to Kinect
New music game from Harmonix to release on Xbox platforms
Disney Interactive has announced Fantasia: Music Evolved, a musical motion video game inspired by Disney’s animated film“Fantasia, will be available in 2014.
In the game, players enter the realms of Fantasia, selected by the legendary sorcerer Yen Sid to hone their musical skills as his new apprentice. Using Kinect motion control technology, players will control the music flow from some of the industry’s biggest acts, including electronic DJ and producer AVICII, Bruno Mars, and Queen. The game will contain tracks from over 25 artists, each featuring two unique remixes in addition to the original recording.
The game gives players creative power to change the mix of their favorite songs in real-time, choosing between the original recording and new remixed versions, or adding new layers of music via manipulators.
Fantasia: Music Evolved is in development at Harmonix Music Systems and will be released for Kinect on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
