L4D2 gets Authoring tools and Add-on Support
Authoring tools and Add-on support has been released today for the Valve zombie shooter - Left 4 Dead 2.
Players and Mod makers will be pleased to know that L4D2 has recieved Authoring tools and with it the ability for gamers to play all the custom maps designed with these set of tools.
Designers of mods will need to download Left 4 Dead 2 - Authoring Tools and gamers who wish to later try custom maps designed with these tools will need to download Left 4 Dead 2 - Add-on Support. Simply open Steam and head to the Tools tab in the steam browser and download the appropriate package.
The Left 4 Dead blog also indicates that maps designed for Left 4 Dead are supported with the "Add-on Support" package so there should be quite a few custom maps ready to download and try out.
