First PlayStation All-Stars DLC in February

Two new characters will be free for a limited time

Posted on

SuperBot Entertainment has announced the first wave of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale DLC, which will be available February 12th.

Two new characters will be introduced. First is Kat (from Gravity Rush on PS Vita), an up-close melee fighter who utilizes her ability to manipulate gravity to turn the tide in battle, good for players who enjoy AP burst combos and varied mobility.

Second is Emmett Graves (from Starhawk), who brings his signature “Build & Battle” style, calling down different structures to aid him in battle, including Rift Extractors for AP and Flak Turrets that fire at will. Aside from his default rifle and pistol, Emmett can also call for additional weaponry in the form of shotgun and rocket launcher loadouts. These loadouts will also change his level 1 super, giving him a total of five supers to choose from.

Perhaps the best news is that Kat and Emmett will be available to download for free for the first two weeks. DLC characters will be getting the same treatment the rest of the cast, including alternate costumes, Arcade Mode cutscenes, Trial Modes, and more.

A new stage called Fearless — a mash-up between Heavenly Sword and Wipeout — will also be available to purchase in February. Those who purchase the map can play it anytime offline or online, while those who don't can still play it online against others.

PlayStation All-Stars is in stores now for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
