Resident Evil 6 on disc DLC will be free
Capcom responds to user complaints about extra content on the disc
Capcom has commented on recent news that extra DLC content is already on the disc for Resident Evil 6, but is locked away.
Users have been complaining that this DLC will cost money to unlock at a later date. Brelston from Capcom has taken to the official blog to address those concerns, saying: "First and foremost, two free DLC items will arrive as a title update soon; No Hope difficulty mode and a co-op partner for Ada's campaign. Additionally, this update will make Ada's campaign available from the start; currently you must complete all three of the primary campaigns to unlock this bonus."
The blog provided clarification that some data of this update is indeed on the disc, but said data is incomplete and requires the actual download to access. Future paid DLC, such as the multiplayer modes, are not on the disc.
Resident Evil 6 is in stores now for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC version is coming later.
