XCOM: Enemy Unknown released
Defend mankind against global alien invasion
2K Games and Firaxis Games announced today that XCOM: Enemy Unknown is now available in North America and will be available internationally on October 12, 2012.
“Enemy Unknown revives the XCOM franchise, staying true to what fans loved in the original game while evolving and growing the experience to appeal to all gamers,” said Sarah Anderson, senior vice president of marketing for 2K. “Combining intense action and strategy, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is an experience unlike any other on the market, and one that no gamer will want to miss.”
Released in 1993, the original X-COM has been reimagined as XCOM: Enemy Unknown by the strategy experts at Firaxis Games. Enemy Unknown expands on the X-COM legacy with an entirely new story, enemies and technologies to fight hostile aliens and defend Earth.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is available for Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
