DmC: Devil May Cry PC release to be delayed
PC version of action game will release after consoles, port outsourced
Capcom has provided Eurogamer at the Tokyo Game Show with more details about the PC version of DMC: Devil May Cry.
The company confirmed that Ninja Theory is not making the PC version of Devil May Cry. The PC job has been outsourced to Polish QA, porting, and localisation company QLOC, which has worked on the PC versions of a number of Capcom games, including Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition and Street Fighter x Tekken.
Jones was unable to discuss PC-specific features but some fans hope to take advantage of more powerful hardware and crank up the frame rate. On console DmC runs at 30fps, in contrast to previous games in the series, while 60fps will be possible on PC.
The publisher said that the PC version will release after the consoles, but they will attempt to narrow the release date gap as much as possible.
DMC: Devil May Cry will release on consoles in January 2013. For more on the game, check out our DMC: Devil May Cry Preview.
