Rocksmith to get Bass expansion pack
New content will allow users to play a bass guitar
Ubisoft has announced that Rocksmith will be receiving new downloadable content which will allow players to plug in and play with a bass guitar.
Bass arrangements have been added to all of the existing in-game tracks and previously released DLC tracks. Not only can you play the bass parts of songs, bassists of all experience levels can also improve their skills like 2-finger plucking, slapping, and popping with dedicated bass technique challenges, tutorial videos and mini-games. You can even use any 6-string guitar to emulate a 4-string bass.
The bass DLC will release on September 4, 2012 and will be available for $29.99. On October 16, 2012, the standard edition of the game, available for $79.99, will ship with the bass content included on the disc.
Rocksmith is available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 now, with PC version due in the fall.
