Darksiders 2 delayed to August
Action game will miss the original June launch window
THQ has confirmed that Darksiders 2, an upcoming action game from Vigil, will not release in June as originally planned.
The game now has release planned for August, which means about a two month delay. The exact street dates will be issued for each region in the days to come. "This is great news for the team at Vigil, because it allows additional time for polish and to ensure that all aspects of Darksiders II meet the high-quality bar the team is targeting," said the developers.
They added, "This small delay is to allow additional time for polish and bug fixing. As we’ve stated in numerous articles and videos, Darksiders II is substantially larger game than its predecessor and the ambition of this project requires extra time to polish to the high standards that Vigil Games and THQ are committed to."
Darksiders 2 is coming to PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. A WiiU version is also planned.
