Left 4 Dead 2 released
After a short delay on PC, Valve has unlocked Left 4 Dead 2.
Left 4 Dead 2 is now available on PC and 360. Although it already broke the 360 retail date in some stores a few days ago. PC users had to wait until Valve unlocked the code on Steam. Now tonight after a short delay it's now available for PC gamers to unlock and play if you have already preloaded.
Left 4 Dead features 5 campaigns, numerous new boss infected a new cast of characters, new game mode and a new location.
Australian gamers be warned that the appID setting does seem to work in order to remove the gore but it seems to prevent you getting any achievements.
Current player counts of L4D2 on Steam hours after launch are 34,782, Left 4 Dead just under a 10th of this figure at 3,157. We will keep you updated on these numbers and any related stories over the next few weeks.
