New Xbox not expected this year

Following months of speculation, Microsoft has issued an official note stating it has no plans to reveal the next Xbox any time soon.
“While we appreciate all the interest in our long-range plans for the future, we can confirm that there will be no talk of new Xbox hardware at E3 or anytime soon,” a Microsoft spokesperson has said.
This puts a dent into the hopes that a new Xbox would show up at this year’s big show. Instead, Nintendo will likely get all the attention with their WiiU launch plans.
Sony has issued a similar denying statement regarding PlayStation 4 plans a few months ago.
E3 2012 takes place in Los Angeles, June 5th to 7th.
