Borderlands 2 shipping with Steamworks

2K Games, Gearbox Software and Valve have announced an agreement that will see PC versions of Borderlands 2 ship with Steamworks.
This means all PC copies of the game (retail and digital) will need to be activated with Steam, and will include common Steamworks features such as cloud saves, achievements, and more.
2K Games has previously included Steamworks in almost all major PC releases.
Currently in development by Gearbox Software, Borderlands 2 is coming to PC and consoles in September 2012.
